Let’s Get to Some Good News!

First off… CageyComics.com is back up! I’ve simplified and gone w/ a more stable site host. It’s still pretty bare bones but it’s functional. I’ll be making updates and improvements as I have time.

• Just comics for now. I’ll eventually add prints, nifty promo stuff, canvases, etc.

• Every comic I have in stock is up there.

Next, comic book stores are killing it! There was a lot of good news and great vibes that came out of New York Comic Con. This was one of the big stories. Younger people are getting into comics and that’s a good sign. Crusy old guys like me need that next generation to keep the torch going.

Marvel is STILL going to make BLADE and they’re not rushing it. Thank you, Marvel, for taking a step back and realizing that yeah… quality over quantity is the way to go. I still love this movie, don’t mess it up please!

Spectress & Sabanion, Issue #6 continues to slouch toward Bethlehem… almost there. In the meantime, Topper Helmers has crafted a disturbingly intense cover for us:

Yup, that’s some good old fashioned Aztec sacrifice. I read a bit about the Aztecs… civilized, way ahead of Europe in terms of astronomy, advanced mathematics and yet… their gods needed blood. They didn’t sacrifice the losers either… nope, they sacrificed THEIR BEST. This ties in w/ Sabanion’s lore, what he was put on Earth to do, and what his ultimate failure was. Can’t wait to see Wesley Wong’s colors on this!

• The Crossed movie (yeesh) is moving forward and has its cast.

• One of my favorite writers at Marvel, Ben Percy, is writing a serious Deadpool.

• Tina Romero (yup, George’s daughter) made a reportedly rockin zombie movie. Haven’t seen it yet, but let me know!

• In case you didn’t already know, horror movies are GOOD FOR YOU.

• Something for you ancient Egypt enthusiasts! I heard about this a while back but the experiment is still going! In 1994, they mummified someone using the tools and techniques that the Men of Anubis used back in the day.
